Hello, I want to have some sort of instant messaging account, but I don't particularly want to set up a gazillion different e-mail accounts. I already have a gmail account. Can any instant messaging services use gmail? For those who want to know, I will be using adium for my client. If gmail can be used, how do I set it up?

Hello,
I don't think you can use gmail. Just set up an aim+msn (that usually covers everyone), or set up aim and use your gmail for msn (you can link the two), and you should be set. You just need to sign up to live with the gmail account.

You don't need to use a separate email for messengers. It's only a sign-up code. For AIM and Windows Live you should be able to use your gmail just fine.
